Acknowledge that your website won’t start out “perfect,” and you should never consider it to be “complete.” It should evolve with your clients’ and customers’ changing needs and preferences. Do Over

Every year in January, we plan our “Do Over,” and according to an Ohio State University article, “Studies have found that only 9% of Americans who set resolutions actually achieve them. Furthermore, research indicates that 23% of individuals give up on their resolution within the first week, while 43% abandon their goals by the end of January.”

I think the most significant cause of our failures is our lack of empathy for ourselves. We bang our heads on the desk when we miss a day or two and push our restart to some arbitrary date in the future. Soon, that date becomes farther and farther away from today, and with it, our dreams of accomplishing something new. I say, “Give ourselves permission to have a ‘Do Over’ and move forward one step at a time.”

Let’s stop holding ourselves back by dwelling on regrets. Our passion drives us towards betterment, and we should be kinder to ourselves in the process.
